Swingin’ At The Corktown

On Thursday Nov. 7 Luft Enterprises presents George Grossman’s Bohemian Swing Featuring Brandon Walker at The Corktown.  We are very excited to be including The Corktown as one of our venues for the 2019 Festival. The Corktown is legendary as a great room to hear music and enjoy good food and drink.

Bohemian Swing comprises of George Grosman on guitar and vocal,  Brandon Walker on sax and keys, and Rachel Melas on upright bass. You will be treated to an infectious mix of old time jazz and swing, with a definite New Orleans, bluesy feel. Their repertoire comprises standards by the likes of Fats Waller, Hoagy Carmichael and other gems from the classic American songbook, as well as romantic instrumentals by famed New Orleans soprano saxophonist Sidney Bechet and Belgian gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. Also featured will be selections from their 2013 CD “Sidney, Mon Ami” which received wide airplay across North America plus original material by Brandon and George.
