Hometown Favourite Returns to Open 2019 SCJF

During the 1990’s the biggest name in Jazz, in Hamilton was Paul Benton. Paul has recently returned to Hamilton from out west and has once again been performing in the area. We are thrilled to announce that The Paul Benton Trio will be opening the 2019 Steel City Jazz Festival on Wednesday November 9^that the Artword Artbar.

Mr. Benton, on piano and vocals, will be joined by Tom Altobelli on Bass and Sean Bruce Parker on Drums. Both are past SCJF performers, Tom with video game cover band Koopa Troop and Sean with Aubrey Wilson.

The Paul Benton Trio performs jazz  standards, with blues, ragtime, boogie woogie  and  latin items, along  with   original  material  with vocal. Check out Paul’s website at   http://www.pbentonstudio.ca
