Extra Day Added to Showcase Hamilton Talent

Great news for Hamilton Jazz Fans and Steel City Jazz Festival Supporters.  We’ve got so much great stuff planned for the 2019 Festival we’ve had to add another day!  On Sunday November 10^th, 7:30 at The Artword Artbar SCJF presents ECJ Quintet led by Bassist Evelyn Charlotte

Joe.Evelyn Charlotte Joe is a multi-instrumentalist, a song-writer, and an educator residing in Hamilton Ontario. Originally cutting their teeth in the realm of the do-it-yourself punk community, they have continued exploring visceral expression and self exploration in the mediums of classical, jazz, samba/bossa, pop, electronic music and free improvisation. For Steel City Jazz Fest, they have organized a group of their favourite players and mentors to provide a night of Jazz Standards in a contemporary style. This will be a special first performance of the group. They are honoured to be a part of the amazing lineup that Steel City Jazz Fest is offering to admiring jazz fans this year.

Joining Evelyn Charlotte Joe will be Bob Shields, Guitar, Adam Fielding, Drums, Ashley Urquhart, Piano and former SCJF Artist in Residence Mike Malone on Trumpet.
